The new academic year has just started, and as students in Hong Kong look forward to the year ahead, The Link has collaborated with WeChat for the first time in organising the annual “The Link Student Promotion”. The promotion provides trendsetting students with the latest and most fashionable shopping experiences as they head back to school. The event will use electronic technology, revolutionary prize redemption and an enhanced shopping experience to attract more students to The Link’s shopping malls.
Taking part in the promotion could not be any easier! From now until 31 August 2014, all full-time students have to do is to make purchases worth HK$50 or more at The Link’s Lok Fu Plaza, Wong Tai Sin Plaza, Lung Cheung Plaza, Hau Tak Shopping Centre, Kai Tin Shopping Centre or Wo Che Plaza, and head to the “The Link Student Promotion” page through WeChat (WeChat account: thelinkstudent). They will receive one E-stamp when they present their instant receipt and student card at the customer service counter of any of the above shopping malls. Once they have collected three E-stamps, students will qualify for one entry to The Link Student Promotion lucky draw for a chance to win exciting prizes. The more they spend, the better their chances of winning.
“This is the first time The Link has utilised a mobile phone application in one of its promotions,” said Hilda Wong, Head of Marketing of The Link. “It reflects the philosophy of life of the new generation and bucks tradition to transform a regular shopping experience into a high-end, innovative entertainment experience. This year-round student promotion is set to become a highlight for student shoppers as they shop for school items and new outfits throughout the school year. The Link continues to promote its marketing programs by sponsoring the student associations of local universities. To further reach the student customer segment, we also provided checkpoint venues at Lok Fu Plaza for student orientation.”
The promotion is packed with over 50,000 exciting prizes, including:
