Stanley Plaza named “Best Shopping Destination” in Southside Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2013

Stanley Plaza was voted “Best Shopping Destination” in Southside Magazine’s first-ever Readers’ Choice Awards. This award is a further testament to The Link REIT’s ("The Link") achievements in revitalising shopping malls, enhancing the shopping experience and developing and executing effective marketing efforts.

Stanley is one of Hong Kong’s most unique tourist destinations, with beautiful scenery, quintessential Hong Kong charm and a mix of East-meets-West culture and characteristics. Stanley Plaza, located on the waterfront, was repositioned by The Link as a tourism and leisure destination of choice for foreign tourists and local Hong Kong families seeking a weekend getaway, and its popularity has since grown by leaps and bounds.

After equipping it with energy saving facilities and redesigning the physical space to match its spectacular views, Stanley Plaza reopened in 2011. With its ample leisure space, Stanley Plaza is the first pet-friendly shopping centre of The Link offering facilities for the convenience of pet owners. The reinvigorated piazza has improved the connection between the promenade and Stanley Main Street, and it provides a common area where customers can enjoy various performances and events.

“The Link has organised a series of strategic promotions based on the unique characteristics of Stanley Plaza and the demands of target customers, such as ‘World of Food and Music’ and ‘Paws by the Sea’. All these efforts have successfully repositioned Stanley Plaza as a top-of-mind tourism and leisure destination,” added Ms Wong.
